In the beginning…
Yup, I was a scrapper before it all started–Scrapbooks Hawaii and Scrapper’s Friend Scrapbook Store I mean. Before we opened the store, I converted the smallest room upstairs to my own scrapbook room. It was organized the way I wanted it. My piece of “scrap-heaven” if you will. This small room was Jian’s room, but she has since outgrown it and moved to Alex’s old bedroom after Alex took over the biggest bedroom upstairs.
After we opened the store, I never had the time to go to my little scrapbook room to do any of my personal scrapbooking and papercrafting. Everything is done at the store, for the store. I am living my dream with this store. I love having a store and sharing this passion with everyone, but it was just of late that I started working again on my own scrapbook pages when I started teaching 2-page layouts. I am now kicking myself for not doing this sooner. I also love the two workshops and table space of the store not to mention all my tools and new toys are there. I could claim one workshop for me as I work on store projects. 🙂
Overtime this is what that small room looks like with boxes, crates and scrapbook products literally flowing out of the room taking over the hallway. 
What a mess, huh?
I have tons of new products at the store I need to take home, but I don’t have any more space to place them in. I have to make space and quick!
Stan, after 2 years of nagging me to clean my “mess”, was just happy and agreed to help me with this project. I knew this project will be HUMONGOUS. I didn’t think Stan knew what he was getting himself into when he agreed to this project! LOL! So, this past weekend I had him and Alex clean out the room and take out everything from the room while I took a nap in my bedroom downstairs.
Yes, a nap. I was up late the prior night because of the midnight crop I hosted at the store and also from chatting online. My brain was still wide-awake from all the excitement during the crop when I got home at 12:30 a.m. so I decided to read my emails. I thought of my good friend, Yoyin, from the Philippines and checked to see if she was online and she was! We chatted until a little over 3 a.m.
When I woke up from my nap, I was soooooo surprised to see all the stuff from that tiny room filling almost every square inch of my living room! You see, my living room was twice as big as my scrapbook room! My boys made sure though that we had a path to walk through to get to the kitchen and to turn on the tv. Go figure! LOL! 😀
